Alors le pratiquant du mantra—se tenant dans l’eau jusqu’à la gorge—doit, avec révérence, réciter le mantra depuis l’instant du contact rituel jusqu’à la libération finale qui clôt le rite.
Sanatkumara (in instruction to Narada, within the Vedanga/ritual-technical discourse)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: shanta
Secondary Rasa: bhakti
It stresses disciplined continuity in mantra-japa—maintaining focused recitation through the entire ritual sequence, not as a casual act but as a sustained sacred observance.
Bhakti here is expressed as ādarā (reverent attentiveness): devotion is shown by careful, uninterrupted mantra practice performed with bodily restraint and ritual purity.
It highlights ritual-technical procedure (prayoga): posture/setting (water up to the throat) and correct temporal framing of japa (from sparśa to vimokṣa), reflecting Vedanga-style precision in practice.
