Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: shanta
Secondary Rasa: bhakti
It teaches nyāsa—installing sacred names/mantras on specific body-points—so the practitioner’s body becomes a consecrated field for the graha-mantra, supporting inner steadiness, protection, and ritual efficacy.
Even in technical rites, the act of placing divine epithets with attention and reverence is a form of devotional surrender—treating the body and mind as instruments offered to the sacred order upheld by the devas/grahas.
Vedāṅga Jyotiṣa and ritual application: it gives a procedural instruction for graha-related mantra practice (nyāsa on brow, crown, śikhā, and whole body), used in graha-śānti and related observances.
