Śeṣoditya-Sūrya-nyāsa, Soma-sādhana, Graha-pūjā, and Bhauma-vrata-vidhi
Narada (teaching in the Narada–Sanatkumara dialogue context)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: bhakti
Secondary Rasa: shanta
It emphasizes nitya-upāsanā: consistent, rule-based worship of the Sun with mental steadiness, showing that devotion becomes effective when joined to proper vidhi and daily discipline.
By calling the Sun “bhaktavatsala,” it frames the rite as relational devotion: the devotee approaches with sincerity and regularity, and the deity is portrayed as responsive to bhakti.
Ritual procedure (kalpa) and time-discipline tied to the daily solar cycle are implied—offering arghya each day as a regulated nitya-karma, aligned with traditional observances connected with the Sun.
