Du quatrième jour lunaire jusqu’au quatrième jour lunaire suivant, qu’on récite avec ferveur dix mille fois. Et, en offrant chaque jour cent huit oblations, on obtient le même fruit que celui énoncé précédemment.
Sanatkumara (in instruction to Narada)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: bhakti
Secondary Rasa: shanta
It emphasizes disciplined vrata-sādhana: aligning practice with tithi (Caturthī), completing a defined japa count (10,000), and sustaining daily homa (108 offerings) to secure the previously stated spiritual fruit.
Bhakti here is expressed as attentive, time-bound worship—reverent mantra repetition and fire-offerings performed consistently—showing devotion through regulated ritual commitment rather than mere sentiment.
It reflects Vedāṅga-style ritual precision: tithi-based timing (linked to Jyotiṣa) and exact enumerations for japa and homa (procedural Kalpa orientation) to standardize observance and expected results.
