Narada Purana — Purva Bhaga, Shloka 67

Gaṇeśa Mantra-vidhi: Mahāgaṇapati Gāyatrī, Vakratuṇḍa Mantra, Nyāsa, Homa, Āvaraṇa-pūjā, and Caturthī Vrata

नामौ लिंगे पदे न्यस्याखिलेन व्यापकं चरेत् । उद्यदर्कद्युतिं हस्तैः पाशांकुशवराभयान् ॥ ६७ ॥

nāmau liṃge pade nyasyākhilena vyāpakaṃ caret | udyadarkadyutiṃ hastaiḥ pāśāṃkuśavarābhayān || 67 ||

Après avoir posé (accompli le nyāsa des) deux Noms sur le liṅga et sur les pieds, qu’on s’exerce ensuite à la contemplation de l’Omniprésent. Qu’on médite la Divinité, éclatante comme le soleil levant, tenant dans ses mains le lacet (pāśa), le crochet (aṅkuśa), le geste qui accorde les dons et le geste d’absence de crainte (abhaya).
