Après avoir sanctifié l’eau à boire en la rendant « nectar » par la mudrā dhenu (la vache), on la dépose dans la main de la Divinité; puis l’on offre de nouveau l’eau d’ācamanīya (gorgée rituelle).
Sanatkumara (in instruction to Narada within the Vedanga/ritual-technical discourse)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: shanta
Secondary Rasa: bhakti
It teaches that even simple offerings like water become spiritually potent when purified by mantra/mudrā and offered with proper reverence—turning ordinary action into sacred upacāra.
Bhakti is expressed through careful service to the deity: sanctifying the offering and placing it respectfully into the deity’s hand reflects attentive, loving worship rather than casual ritual.
Ritual-technical know-how: the use of mudrā (hand-gesture) to consecrate substances and the correct sequencing of offerings like pānīya and ācamanīya in pūjā.
