Faite d’or et d’autres métaux, et mesurée depuis la longueur d’un pouce jusqu’à une vitasti (une paume), elle devient dans la maison un présage propice dispensant la bonne fortune—digne d’être vénérée jour après jour.
Sanatkumara (in instruction to Narada, within the Vedanga/ritual-technical discourse)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: bhakti
Secondary Rasa: shanta
It teaches that a properly crafted and correctly measured worship-object/icon, made from pure metals, becomes a śubhadā (auspicious source) in a household when honored through consistent daily pūjā.
Bhakti here is expressed as regular, disciplined worship (dine dine pūjanāya): devotion is sustained through daily reverence, not merely occasional ritual.
It highlights māna (measurement standards) and ritual craftsmanship—technical details that support correct procedure in domestic worship, aligning practice with śāstric precision.
