The Explanation of Sandhyā and Related Daily Observances
Saṅdhyā-ādi Nitya-karma-Vidhi
Narada (teaching in a technical/ritual listing style within the Vedanga-focused section; dialogue traditionally framed with Sanatkumara lineage)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: shanta
Secondary Rasa: bhakti
It presents a ritual-spiritual principle: auspiciousness and success arise when one invokes divine powers that both pacify (śānti), nourish (puṣṭi), and remove impediments (vighna-hara), aligning action with sacred order (svasti).
Bhakti here is expressed as reverent invocation—approaching Vinayaka and Sarasvatī (and related powers) with faith before undertaking sacred acts, acknowledging dependence on divine grace for unobstructed progress.
It reflects prayoga-style ritual preliminaries: selecting and invoking specific devatās for mangala, śānti, and vighna-nāśa—an applied, technical orientation consistent with Vedanga-linked ritual procedure.
