Avec une attention concentrée, le maître doit réciter la connaissance sacrée à l’oreille du disciple huit fois. Ayant reçu cette connaissance, le disciple doit à son tour se prosterner aux pieds du Guru.
Narada (teaching in a Vedanga/vidyā transmission context, within the Narada Purana dialogue tradition)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: shanta
Secondary Rasa: bhakti
It frames learning as a sacred transmission (vidyā) that requires the teacher’s focused delivery and the disciple’s humility—knowledge is received through disciplined listening and sealed by reverence to the guru.
While not directly about deity-worship, it expresses bhakti through guru-bhakti: gratitude and surrender at the guru’s feet after receiving instruction, a devotional attitude that supports all spiritual paths.
It highlights the practical pedagogy of Vedic instruction—oral repetition, attentive concentration (samāhita), and proper conduct (ācāra) in the guru–śiṣya system, foundational for Vedanga learning such as Śikṣā (phonetics) and Vyākaraṇa (grammar).
