जायते च पुराणेभ्यस्तस्मात्तानीह देवताः । सर्ववेदार्थसाराणि पुराणानीति भूपते ॥ ९७ ॥

jāyate ca purāṇebhyastasmāttānīha devatāḥ | sarvavedārthasārāṇi purāṇānīti bhūpate || 97 ||

Et, en vérité, des Purāṇa naissent les devas (ainsi que la connaissance d’eux) ; c’est pourquoi, ô roi, les Purāṇa sont ici l’essence du sens de tous les Veda.
