गङ्गामाहात्म्य — The Greatness of the Gaṅgā
सगर उवाच । मातर्गतः पिता कुत्र किं नामा कस्य वंशजः । तत्सर्वं मे समाचक्ष्व श्रोतुं कौतूहलं मम ॥ १७ ॥
sagara uvāca | mātargataḥ pitā kutra kiṃ nāmā kasya vaṃśajaḥ | tatsarvaṃ me samācakṣva śrotuṃ kautūhalaṃ mama || 17 ||
Sagara dit : «Où est allé mon père ? Quel est son nom, et de quelle lignée est-il issu ? Dis-moi tout cela en entier, car mon cœur brûle d’en entendre le récit.»
