The Pañcarātra Vow (Haripañcaka Vrata): Observance from Śukla Ekādaśī to Pūrṇimā
Sanatkumara (addressing Narada)
Vrata: Haripañcaka (implied by immediate context)
Primary Rasa: shanta
Secondary Rasa: bhakti
It frames the teaching being discussed as universally beneficial—removing sorrow for all—and as the root-cause leading to the four puruṣārthas, culminating in mokṣa.
By presenting the teaching as the direct means to end suffering and generate dharma through mokṣa, it supports the Narada Purana’s broader emphasis that sustained devotion and right practice become the effective cause of life’s highest aims.
No specific Vedāṅga (like vyākaraṇa, jyotiṣa, or śikṣā) is taught in this verse; it is a purposive summary statement about outcomes—sorrow-removal and attainment of the four aims.
