Narrator (Sūta) relaying the teaching of Sage Nārada within the Nārada–Sanatkumāra dialogue framework
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: bhakti
Secondary Rasa: shanta
It emphasizes humble surrender through mantra (“namo’stu viṣṇave”) and devotional service through abhiṣeka (ritual bathing), teaching that sincere worship—done correctly and within one’s means—pleases Viṣṇu.
Bhakti here is expressed as repeated reverent remembrance (salutation-mantra) and loving ritual care (bathing the deity). The phrase “śaktitaḥ” highlights that devotion is measured by sincerity and capacity, not extravagance.
It reflects Kalpa/Smārta-ritual discipline: performing arcana “pūrvavat” (according to prior rules) and maintaining “māna” (proper measure) in offerings, which is central to correct pūjā procedure.
