Qu’on donne à douze brāhmaṇa du riz au caillé et aussi du pāyasa (entremets sucré au lait), accompagné de dix gâteaux, avec du ghee, et une dakṣiṇā (don honorifique) convenable.
Narada (teaching in a dharma/vrata context; dialogue tradition with Sanatkumara lineage implied)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: karuna
Secondary Rasa: bhakti
It emphasizes dāna (charitable giving) done in a complete manner—proper recipients (brāhmaṇas), pure food offerings, and dakṣiṇā—so the act becomes a dharmic sacrifice that purifies the giver and supports Vedic sacred duty.
Though framed as ritual charity, it supports bhakti by cultivating humility, service to the learned, and offering one’s resources in a sattvic way—qualities that steady the mind for devotion to Viṣṇu and sacred observances.
It reflects kalpa-style ritual discipline: specifying number of recipients, items to be offered, and inclusion of dakṣiṇā—practical procedure aligned with dharma-śāstra conventions used in vrata and yajña-related giving.
