FAQs

It frames the teaching that results are not merely mechanical outcomes of ritual, but are granted through the Lord (Deveśa) when karma is performed in the proper dharmic and attentive manner.

By stating that the Lord becomes the giver of fruits, the verse implies a theistic orientation to practice—actions bear highest efficacy when connected to the divine will, encouraging devotion and surrender alongside ritual performance.

The emphasis on performing karma correctly points toward ritual discipline supported by Vedanga expertise—especially Kalpa (procedure of rites) and Vyākaraṇa (correct recitation/usage), with attention (samādhāna) as essential to efficacy.
