Bhāgīratha’s Bringing of the Gaṅgā

भगीरथ उवाच । अनुग्राह्योस्मि यदि ते वरदानान्महेश्वर । तदा गङ्गां प्रयच्छास्मत्पितॄणां मुक्तिहेतवे ॥ १०४ ॥

bhagīratha uvāca | anugrāhyosmi yadi te varadānānmaheśvara | tadā gaṅgāṃ prayacchāsmatpitṝṇāṃ muktihetave || 104 ||

Bhagīratha dit : «Ô Maheśvara, si je suis digne de ta grâce et de recevoir tes bienfaits, accorde la descente de la Gaṅgā, afin que mes ancêtres obtiennent la délivrance.»
