Vāmana’s Advent, Aditi’s Hymn, Bali’s Gift, and the Mahatmya of Bhū-dāna
Sanatkumara (teaching Narada)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: bhakti
Secondary Rasa: shanta
It defines the inner mark of a true devotee: constant engagement in holy places, saintly company, and compassion for society—through which the Lord is ‘carried’ in one’s heart and conduct.
Bhakti is shown as lived practice: tīrtha-rati (reverence for sacred spaces), sat-saṅga (transformative association with the virtuous), and lokānugraha (selfless service). These qualities make the devotee a vessel of Vishnu’s presence.
No specific Vedanga technique is taught here; the practical takeaway is dharmic conduct—seeking satsanga, honoring tīrthas through pilgrimage and worship, and practicing lokanugraha as a daily discipline.
