Janaka Instructs Śuka: Āśrama-Sequence, Guru-Dependence, and Marks of Liberation
Narada
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: bhakti (devotion)
Secondary Rasa: shanta (peace)
It models the disciple’s surrender to higher wisdom: true knowledge is not mere information, but “tattvataḥ”—seeing reality as it is—embodied in the realized teacher.
By honoring the knower of truth, it supports bhakti through humility and receptivity—devotion becomes steady when guided by one who knows the essence, not just external forms.
No specific Vedanga (like Vyākaraṇa, Jyotiṣa, or Kalpa) is named; the emphasis is on tattva-jñāna—right understanding that grounds any practice or ritual in its true purpose.
