Graha–Ketu–Utpāta Lakṣaṇas: Solar/Lunar Omens, Comets, Eclipses, and Calendar Rules
Sanatkumara (teaching Narada in Moksha-Dharma context)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: shanta
Secondary Rasa: adbhuta
It ranks certain sacred month-names by the kind of spiritual “fruit” (phala) they tend to yield, guiding a practitioner to align vrata, dāna, and bhakti-sādhana with time (kāla) for stronger dharma and moksha-oriented results.
By implying that devotion and observances performed in particular months (such as Mādhava) become especially auspicious, it supports the Purāṇic bhakti principle that sādhana gains potency when done with proper kāla (timing) alongside faith and worship.
It reflects Jyotiṣa/Vedic calendrics—traditional month nomenclature and time-based merit—used to schedule vratas and rituals, a key practical application of Vedāṅga Jyotiṣa in Purāṇic dharma.
