Graha–Ketu–Utpāta Lakṣaṇas: Solar/Lunar Omens, Comets, Eclipses, and Calendar Rules
Sanatkumara (in dialogue with Narada)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: bhayanaka
Secondary Rasa: none
It frames worldly calamities (fear, famine, loss) as outcomes of cosmic timing, encouraging vigilance, dharmic conduct, and remedial worship rather than complacency.
By highlighting insecurity in material prosperity, it implicitly redirects the seeker toward steadiness through devotion and reliance on dharma, instead of dependence on wealth and harvest alone.
Vedāṅga Jyotiṣa: interpreting planetary placement (Mars), nakṣatra context (the two Phālgunīs), and adverse motion (pratīpaga) to forecast collective outcomes like famine and loss.
