Sanatkumara (teaching Narada in a Moksha-Dharma/ritual-remedy context)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: shanta
Secondary Rasa: karuna
It teaches that certain ritual or moral defects (doṣas) can be purified through dharmic giving (dāna), especially by offering prescribed gifts or, alternatively, cows (or their value), emphasizing purification through selfless relinquishment.
While not explicitly devotional, it supports bhakti indirectly: removing doṣas through honest charity purifies conduct and intention, making the practitioner fit for steadier worship and remembrance of the Divine.
It reflects Kalpa-style ritual pragmatics—fixed prescriptions for dāna and expiation, including the accepted substitute of giving the equivalent monetary value when the exact gift is unavailable.
