Narada Purana — Purva Bhaga, Shloka 169

Jyotiṣa-saṅgraha: Varga-vibhāga, Bala-nirṇaya, Garbha-phala, Āyuḥ-gaṇanā

काव्यशिल्पादिभिर्बोधे जवे देवद्विजाकरैः । शौक्रे रजतगोरत्नैर्मांदे हिंसश्रमाधमैः ॥ १६९ ॥

kāvyaśilpādibhirbodhe jave devadvijākaraiḥ | śaukre rajatagoratnairmāṃde hiṃsaśramādhamaiḥ || 169 ||

Sous l’influence de Mercure, la compréhension vient par la poésie, l’artisanat et autres arts. Sous l’influence de Jupiter, il y a promptitude et gains liés aux dieux, aux brahmanes et aux mines. Sous l’influence de Vénus, il y a argent, bétail et joyaux ; sous l’influence de Saturne, des occupations basses marquées par la violence et la peine.
