Narada Purana — Purva Bhaga, Shloka 10

Jyotiṣa-saṅgraha: Varga-vibhāga, Bala-nirṇaya, Garbha-phala, Āyuḥ-gaṇanā

सिंहोक्षाविस्रश्चतौ लिकुभाः सूर्यात्रिकोणभम् । चतुरस्रं तूर्यमृत्युत्रिकोणं नवपंचमम् ॥ १० ॥

siṃhokṣāvisraścatau likubhāḥ sūryātrikoṇabham | caturasraṃ tūryamṛtyutrikoṇaṃ navapaṃcamam || 10 ||

«Lion» et «taureau», et aussi les formes «relâchées/affaissées», sont dits du type quadruple. Le Soleil doit être figuré par un triangle; la figure à quatre côtés est la «quatrième»; et le triangle est lié à la mort. La neuvième et la cinquième doivent aussi être comprises en conséquence.
