Jyotiṣa-śāstra Saṅgraha: Threefold Division, Gaṇita Methods, Muhūrta, and Planetary Reckoning
Sanatkumara (teaching Narada; vocatives 'bhakte' and 'vipra' address the listener)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: shanta
Secondary Rasa: bhakti
It emphasizes disciplined, methodical practice: spiritual “fruit” (phala) should be reinvested into one’s foundational discipline (mūla), avoiding attachment to intermediate gains and repeatedly returning to the root principle.
Bhakti here is portrayed as incremental and structured—progress is consolidated by returning results to the core devotional foundation, not by clinging to temporary milestones.
A procedural, almost mathematical rule of computation and redistribution is implied (vibhajet, dviguṇena, kramāt), reflecting a technical method akin to systematic calculation used in ritual/disciplinary frameworks.
