पृथक् तत्क्रांत्यक्षभागसंस्कृतौ स्युर्नतांशकाः । तद्दिघ्नांशकृतिद्व्यूनार्द्धार्कयुता हरिः ॥ १५९ ॥
pṛthak tatkrāṃtyakṣabhāgasaṃskṛtau syurnatāṃśakāḥ | taddighnāṃśakṛtidvyūnārddhārkayutā hariḥ || 159 ||
Lorsque la krānti (déclinaison) du Soleil et la part de l’akṣa (latitude terrestre) sont traitées séparément, les quantités obtenues sont appelées « natāṃśaka », parts de la déclinaison. Le diviseur, nommé « harī », se déduit en prenant deux fois le carré des degrés multiplié par cette valeur, en retranchant deux, puis en ajoutant la moitié de la mesure solaire utilisée dans le calcul.
