La troisième désinence (instrumental) sert à exprimer l’association, le fait d’être avec. Elle s’emploie aussi lorsqu’on mentionne un membre méprisable, et lorsqu’un qualificatif (adjectif) se rapporte à ce membre. La septième désinence (locatif) indique le temps et l’état/condition; et dans des constructions semblables, la sixième (génitif) peut également être employée.

It shows that the Purana preserves Vedanga knowledge (especially Vyakarana) so seekers can interpret dharma and moksha teachings precisely; correct meaning in scripture depends on correct grammatical usage.
Indirectly: by safeguarding accurate comprehension of sacred statements, grammar supports right understanding of Vishnu-bhakti instructions; devotion becomes steady when scripture is understood without ambiguity.
Vyakarana: rules for when the instrumental (tṛtīyā) expresses association, when the locative (saptamī) indicates time or state, and how the genitive (ṣaṣṭhī) can also appear in related constructions.
