आपो देवगणाः सर्वे तथा पितृगणा द्विज । तेनाद्भिरुक्षणं प्रोक्तं मुनिभिर्विधिकोविदैः ॥ १९ ॥
āpo devagaṇāḥ sarve tathā pitṛgaṇā dvija | tenādbhirukṣaṇaṃ proktaṃ munibhirvidhikovidaiḥ || 19 ||
Ô dvija, les Eaux elles-mêmes sont toutes les cohortes des devas, et de même toutes les cohortes des pitṛs (ancêtres). C’est pourquoi les sages experts en rite ont prescrit l’aspersion d’eau comme acte de purification.
