It highlights the Purāṇic method of transmitting dharma and cosmological knowledge through the standard lakṣaṇas (topics), beginning with sarga (creation), presented systematically and in detail.
By pointing to a Purāṇa that elaborates creation and related lineages and cycles, it frames the universe as ordered under divine governance—an interpretive foundation that supports devotion to the Supreme as the source and regulator of cosmic law.
It chiefly reflects Purāṇic taxonomy and textual organization (anukramaṇikā-style classification) rather than a specific Vedāṅga; the practical takeaway is how Purāṇas are identified by their lakṣaṇas such as sarga and allied topics.
