Ensuite sont rapportés : le récit du fils de Devarāta, l’éloge de ceux qui connaissent les Purāṇa, l’épisode concernant Gautama ; puis l’on se souvient de la Śiva-gītā.
Suta (Anukramanika-style narration listing the contents)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: shanta
Secondary Rasa: bhakti
It functions as an Anukramanika (table-of-contents) verse, signaling that sacred narratives and authoritative discourses (like the Śiva-gītā) are preserved through remembrance and transmission, and that Purāṇa-knowledge is itself worthy of praise.
Indirectly: by pointing to the Śiva-gītā and exemplary narratives, it indicates that devotion is nurtured through hearing (śravaṇa) and remembering (smaraṇa) the Lord-centered teachings embedded in Purāṇic episodes.
No specific Vedāṅga (like Vyākaraṇa or Jyotiṣa) is taught in this verse; it is primarily an index-style pointer to upcoming sections, including praise of Purāṇa-knowers and major narrative units.
