The Description of the Index (Anukramaṇikā) of the Padma Purāṇa
Narada (continuing an anukramanika-style framing of the text)

Primary Rasa: shanta
Secondary Rasa: adbhuta
It teaches that, despite the restlessness of the senses in embodied life, the Purana’s instruction—organized into five sections—functions as a pāpanāśana (sin-destroying) guide for purification and right orientation to dharma.
By acknowledging the mind-and-sense instability of the embodied condition, the verse implies the need for structured sacred teaching; such ordered instruction supports steady practice, which is essential for sustained Vishnu-bhakti even when the senses are fickle.
The emphasis is on textual organization and systematic exposition (an anukramanika approach) rather than a specific Vedanga; it reflects the method of arranging teachings into clearly defined divisions for study, recitation, and application in dharma and ritual life.
