Narada (teaching a prescribed ritual procedure within the Purana’s instructional narrative)
Vrata: Ṣaṣṭhī-vrata (contextual; chapter-level)
Primary Rasa: bhakti
Secondary Rasa: shanta
It emphasizes that devotion is strengthened by disciplined, scripture-aligned worship—creating a simple clay form and sanctifying it through mantra (Śatarudrīya) and abhiṣeka, turning material action into sacred practice.
Bhakti here is expressed through upacāras (loving services) and consecratory bathing; the devotee approaches the deity through reverent making, offering, and mantra-recitation—devotion embodied as careful service.
It highlights ritual application of Vedic mantra—specifically the Śatarudrīya from the Yajurveda—showing how mantra and step-wise abhiṣeka procedures are integrated into Purāṇic worship practice.
