Anukramaṇī
Suta (Sauti) narrating to the sages at Naimiṣāraṇya (Anukramanika-style summary)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: shanta
Secondary Rasa: adbhuta
It functions as an anukramaṇikā (contents-outline), showing that the Purāṇa integrates dharma (prescribed duties/rites) with sacred narrative (Naimiṣa) and cosmology (Hiraṇyagarbha and world-formation) as a unified path of understanding.
Indirectly: by mapping the text’s structure—beginning with right action (kṛtya) and moving through sacred history and creation— it sets a framework in which devotion is supported by dharmic practice and a theistic vision of cosmic order.
Ritual-practice orientation is implied through “kṛtya” (what should be done), aligning with Kalpa (procedural aspects of rites) rather than technical grammar or astrology in this specific verse.
