Virāṭa-parva Adhyāya 22 — Draupadī’s Abduction Attempt and Bhīma’s Suppression of the Kīcakas
ततस्तु द्रौपदी गत्वा तदा भीम॑ महानसे । उपातिष्ठत कल्याणी कौरव्यं पतिमन्तिकम्,तदनन्तर कल्याणस्वरूपा द्रौपदी पाकशालामें अपने पति कुरुनन्दन भीमसेनके पास गयी
tatastu draupadī gatvā tadā bhīmaṁ mahānase | upātiṣṭhata kalyāṇī kauravyaṁ patim antikam ||
Vaiśampāyana dit : Alors Draupadī, la femme de bon augure, se rendit auprès de Bhīma dans la grande cuisine et se tint près de son époux, le héros né de la lignée des Kaurava. La scène souligne l’appui qu’elle trouve en son mari au cœur de la dissimulation et du péril, ainsi que la constance silencieuse du devoir conjugal dans l’adversité.
