Yudhiṣṭhira’s Rationale for Sending Arjuna and Request to Dhaumya
Reverent contact with a sacred trace (here, holy footprints) is presented as a means of moral purification: lingering inauspicious karma is said to be destroyed, emphasizing faith, humility, and ethical renewal.
A speaker addresses a great king (Bhārata) and explains the spiritual efficacy of touching certain revered footprints—implying a sacred site or holy mark—assuring that such an act removes remaining inauspicious karmic residue.
