यत्र सिद्धि परां प्राप्तो विश्वामित्रो5$थ कौशिक: । तत्र मासं वसेद्‌ वीर कौशिक्यां भरतर्षभ

Transliteration

yatra siddhiṁ parāṁ prāpto viśvāmitro ’tha kauśikaḥ | tatra māsaṁ vased vīra kauśikyāṁ bharatarṣabha rājendra |

Translation

Ghūlastya dit : «Ô roi héroïque, taureau parmi les Bharata ! Au lieu même où Viśvāmitra, fils de Kuśika, obtint l’accomplissement spirituel suprême, tu dois demeurer un mois sur la rive de la Kauśikī. Ce séjour discipliné au gué sacré est prescrit comme moyen de purification et de mérite, à l’exemple de la perfection atteinte par le sage.»
