तांश्वैवानय भद्ठरें ते पानीयं च त्वमानय । तब कुन्तीकुमार युधिष्ठिरने भीमसेनसे कहा--“परंतप! भरतनन्दन! नकुल, सहदेव और अर्जुनको पानीके लिये गये बहुत देर हो गयी। वे अभीतक नहीं आ रहे हैं। तुम्हारा कल्याण हो। तुम जाकर उन्हें बुला लाओ और पानी भी ले आओ” ।। ३३-३४ $ ।। भीमसेनस्तथेत्युक्त्वा त॑ देशं प्रत्यपद्यत
yakṣa uvāca | tāṁś caivānaya bhadraṁ te pānīyaṁ ca tvam ānaya | bhīmasenas tathety uktvā taṁ deśaṁ pratyapadyata |
Le Yakṣa dit : «Amène-les ici ; que le bien soit sur toi. Et toi-même, apporte aussi de l’eau.» Ainsi instruit, Bhīmasena répondit : «Qu’il en soit ainsi», et se mit en route vers ce lieu. Dans le fil du récit, Yudhiṣṭhira—inquiets de voir Nakula, Sahadeva et Arjuna partis depuis trop longtemps à la recherche d’eau—envoie Bhīma les rappeler et rapporter de l’eau, montrant une conduite responsable et le souci des compagnons même au cœur de l’épreuve.
