कृतयुगवर्णनम् तथा राजधर्मोपदेशः

Kṛtayuga Description and Instruction on Royal Dharma

मलयं चापि पश्यामि पारियात्र च पर्वतम्‌ | एते चान्ये च बहवो यावन्त: पृथिवीधरा:

malayaṃ cāpi paśyāmi pāriyātraṃ ca parvatam | ete cānye ca bahavo yāvantaḥ pṛthivīdharāḥ ||

Vaiśampāyana dit : «Je contemple aussi la chaîne de Malaya et la montagne Pāriyātra ; et je vois bien d’autres montagnes encore—autant que celles qui soutiennent la terre. Tandis que je me mouvais dans le ventre de cet enfant à la grande âme, ces puissants massifs m’apparurent, tous parés de gemmes variées—révélant comment le monde entier, avec ses géographies sacrées, peut être contenu dans un seul corps merveilleux, et comment la vision du voyant s’élargit par l’endurance et l’observation attentive.»
