Là, je vis la voûte du ciel, parée de la lune et du soleil—embrasée d’une clarté sans bornes, éclatante d’une splendeur pareille au feu et au soleil.
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse evokes reverence for the cosmic order: the moon and sun illuminate the heavens with a fire-like brilliance, suggesting that human life and dharma unfold under a vast, steady, and awe-inspiring universal framework.
Vaiśampāyana describes a striking vision of the sky—resplendent with the moon and sun and blazing with intense radiance—serving as a vivid scene-setting image within the Vana Parva narration.
