कृतयुगवर्णनम् तथा राजधर्मोपदेशः

ततः समुद्र पश्यामि यादोगणनिषेवितम् । रत्नाकरममित्रघ्न पयसो निधिमुत्तमम्,शत्रुसूदन! इसके बाद जलजन्तुओंसे भरे हुए अगाध जलके भण्डार परम उत्तम रत्नाकर समुद्रको भी देखा
tataḥ samudraṁ paśyāmi yādogaṇa-niṣevitam | ratnākaraṁ amitraghna payaso nidhim uttamam śatrusūdana ||
Puis je vis l’océan—fréquenté par des multitudes d’êtres aquatiques—réserve d’eaux insondable et excellente, mine de joyaux. Ô tueur d’ennemis, ô dompteur d’adversaires, ainsi vis-je cette mer suprême.
