प्रावृट्-शरत्-वर्णनम् — Description of the Monsoon and Autumn; Sarasvatī in the Pāṇḍavas’ Exile
स मातज्गशतप्राणो मनुष्पशतवारण: सिंहशार्दूलविक्रान्तो वने तस्मिन् महाबल:
sa mātaṅgaśatapāṇo manuṣyaśatavāraṇaḥ siṁhaśārdūlavikrānto vane tasmin mahābalaḥ
Vaiśampāyana dit : Dans cette forêt se tenait le héros, pourvu de la force vitale de cent éléphants en rut, capable de contenir d’un seul coup l’élan de cent hommes, et d’avancer avec la vaillance du lion et du tigre. Le vers souligne la puissance écrasante de Bhīma comme force protectrice : une énergie qui, lorsqu’elle s’accorde au dharma, devient bouclier des faibles et dissuasion contre le tort dans la sauvagerie de l’exil.
