Description of the Monsoon and Autumn; Sarasvatī in the Pāṇḍavas’ Exile
The verse highlights Bhīma’s immense strength and the pragmatic demands of forest exile: hunting functions as sustenance and protection, while also reflecting the intense, sometimes violent, realities of life away from settled society.
Vaiśampāyana narrates that Bhīma, famed for fearsome valor and great arms, roams about in the forest engaged in hunting, killing deer, boars, and buffaloes in various places.
