Śara-śayyā-sthita-bhīṣma-saṃvāda-prastāvaḥ
The Prelude to Questioning Bhīṣma on the Bed of Arrows
यावद्धि प्रथते लोके पुरुषस्य यशो भुवि । तावत् तस्याक्षयं स्थान भवतीति विनिश्चिता,जगत्में जबतक भूतलपर मनुष्यके यशका विस्तार होता रहता है, तबतक उसकी परलोकमें अचल स्थिति बनी रहती है, यह निश्चय है
yāvaddhi prathate loke puruṣasya yaśo bhuvi | tāvat tasya akṣayaṁ sthānaṁ bhavatīti viniścitā ||
Vāyu dit : Tant que la renommée d’un homme continue de se répandre en ce monde sur la terre, d’autant son rang dans l’au-delà demeure impérissable : telle est la certitude arrêtée.
