Yajña-bhāga-vyavasthā and the Pravṛtti–Nivṛtti Framework (यज्ञभागव्यवस्था तथा प्रवृत्तिनिवृत्तिधर्मविवेचनम्)

विविक्ते पर्वततटे पाराशर्यों महातपा: । वेदानध्यापयामास व्यास: शिष्यान्‌ महामति:

vivikte parvata-taṭe pārāśaryo mahā-tapāḥ | vedān adhyāpayām āsa vyāsaḥ śiṣyān mahā-matiḥ ||

Bhīṣma dit : En un lieu retiré sur le flanc d’une montagne, le grand ascète Vyāsa—fils de Parāśara, sage à l’intelligence profonde—enseignait les Veda à ses disciples. La scène souligne l’idéal éthique selon lequel le savoir sacré se conserve et se transmet par une étude disciplinée, l’austérité et la continuité maître–disciple, loin des distractions et du tumulte du monde.
