Janaka–Sulabhā Dialogue on Mokṣa and Non-attachment
so 'thayam evaṁ vimucyeta nānyatheti viniścayaḥ | pareṇa paradharmā ca bhavaty eṣa sametya vai ||
Liberation is attained only by the specific discipline or insight just described; Vasiṣṭha insists there is no alternative. When aligned with the Supreme (para), that very way of living is affirmed as the highest dharma.
Vasiṣṭha is concluding a doctrinal point: he states his definitive judgment about the sole means to release and then elevates that means by declaring it ‘supreme dharma’ when it culminates in communion or accord with the Supreme.
