Ethical Restraint, Mortality, and Karma

समड़ उवाच भूतं भव्यं भविष्यं च सर्वमेतत्‌ तु मानद । तेषां तत्त्वानि जानामि ततो न विमना हाहम्‌

Samaḍa uvāca—bhūtaṁ bhavyaṁ bhaviṣyaṁ ca sarvam etat tu mānada | teṣāṁ tattvāni jānāmi tato na vimanā hy aham ||

Samaḍa dit : «Ô dispensateur d’honneur, je saisis la réalité et les principes intérieurs de tout ce qui fut, de ce qui est, et de ce qui doit encore advenir. C’est pourquoi mon esprit ne sombre pas dans l’abattement.»
