Shloka 19

इन्द्रेण वृत्रवधः, ब्रह्महत्याया अनुगमनम्, तथा च विभाजन-निवासविधानम्

Indra’s defeat of Vṛtra; pursuit by Brahmahatyā; allocation of her abodes

एष मार्गों हि मोक्षस्य प्रसन्नो विमल: शुचि: । तथा वाक्कायमनसां नियम: कामतो<न्यथा

eṣa mārgo hi mokṣasya prasanno vimalaḥ śuciḥ | tathā vākkāyamanasāṃ niyamaḥ kāmato 'nyathā |

Bhishma dit : « Voici, en vérité, la voie limpide de la délivrance — sereine, sans tache et pure : la discipline qui retient la parole, le corps et l’esprit, non menée par le désir ni par ses élans contraires. Être libre de l’illusion et de l’attachement ; abandonner désir et colère ; être sans misère, sans arrogance et sans agitation ; demeurer ferme d’esprit ; et régler, sans convoitise, l’esprit, la parole et les sens — telle est la route nette, immaculée et sainte vers le moksha. »
