सूक्ष्मभूत-भूतात्मविज्ञानम्
Knowing the subtle principle and the bhūtātman through yoga
तेजोमयो नित्यमय: पुराणो लोकाननन्तानभयानुपैति । भूतानि यस्मान्न त्रसन््ते कदाचित् स भूतानां न त्रसते कदाचित्
tejomayo nityamayaḥ purāṇo lokān anantān abhayān upaiti | bhūtāni yasmān na trasanti kadācit sa bhūtānāṁ na trasate kadācit ||
Vyāsa dit : Il est fait de pure splendeur, éternel en son essence et primordial. Il atteint les mondes innombrables, affranchis de la peur. Parce que les êtres ne tremblent jamais devant Lui à aucun moment, Lui non plus ne tremble jamais devant les êtres à aucun moment. L’enseignement indique une stature morale et spirituelle où l’innocuité et l’intrépidité se fortifient l’une l’autre : quand on ne menace pas autrui, on n’est pas hanté par la crainte d’autrui.

The verse teaches that true spiritual nobility is marked by harmlessness and fearlessness: one who does not inspire fear in others is not, in turn, afraid of them. Such a person, radiant and steady in character, is fit for higher, fear-free realms.
