शल्मलि–पवनसंवादः

The Dialogue of Śalmali and Pavana

यश्चेदं शृणुयान्नित्यं यश्चेद॑ं परिकीर्तयेत्‌ । नाशुभ॑ विद्यते तस्य मनसापि प्रमादत:

yaś cedaṃ śṛṇuyān nityaṃ yaś cedaṃ parikīrtayet | nāśubhaṃ vidyate tasya manasāpi pramādataḥ ||

Bhīṣma dit : « Quiconque écoute chaque jour ce récit, et quiconque le récite ou le proclame, pour cette personne nulle infortune ne surgit—même dans l’esprit—par l’effet de la négligence. Cet enseignement affirme la puissance purificatrice et protectrice de l’écoute et de la récitation régulières : une attention disciplinée au discours porteur de dharma préserve l’homme de la défaillance morale et de ses conséquences funestes. »
