Jarā’s Account and the Enthronement of Jarāsandha (जरासंधोत्पत्तिः अभिषेकश्च)

एको होव श्रियं नित्यं बिभर्ति पुरुषर्षभ: । अन्तरात्मेव भूतानां तत्क्षयं नैव लक्षये

eko hi sa śriyaṃ nityaṃ bibharti puruṣarṣabhaḥ | antarātmeva bhūtānāṃ tatkṣayaṃ naiva lakṣaye ||

Ô le meilleur des hommes ! Lui seul porte et jouit sans cesse de la fortune royale. Tel le Soi intérieur demeurant au cœur des êtres, je ne discerne aucun moyen naturel par lequel on puisse le conduire à sa perte ; aussi sa destruction ne surviendra-t-elle pas d’elle-même, mais devra être accomplie par un effort délibéré.
