Droṇa-parva Adhyāya 96: Sātyaki’s Line-Penetration, Encirclement, and Advance toward Arjuna
The verse foregrounds dharma as obligatory service: even something personally valuable—armor born of one’s own body—may be relinquished when the higher duty is to support the cosmic order represented by the gods.
Śarva addresses Indra, declaring that he must assist the gods and therefore offers Indra a brilliant armor produced from his own body, asking him to accept it as a protective aid.
